Walnut Hill Cemetery - Hamilton Township, Ohio
This one was both an embarassment and a gem for me. Located on Rathmell Road just west of Lockbourne Road, this is one just a few minutes from my house that I never knew existed. Needless to say, I felt really dumb when I found it. At the same time, I'm glad I did. This cemetery is notable in my memory as the cemetery with the most pre-civil war stones that I have found in central Ohio, almost all of which are very well preserved. The methodist church it is located next to takes very good care of it, and it is obvious. This one is also still in use, as evidenced by one of the pictures below of a very recent burial; don't worry, the church official who was there said I could take the picture and share it.
