I am a life long resident of Athens County, and a former student of Amesville Elementary. I graduated from Ohio University in the spring of 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

I currently am employed in the Federal Hocking Local Schools District. This is my fourth year in the District. I have taught in Trenton, Florida for five and a half years and three years in War, West Virginia. I have also taught for Wood County Adult Education and Washington State Community College.

I have taught in Amesville for over 20 years. I am sorry to say that before this project, I knew very little about the history of the area. Researching Amesville’s past has given me a whole new outlook. It is a wonderful place to teach, but what a place it has been!
