Current Priority Legislators and Contacts
Before the bills can go to the full House or Senate they must pass in
the House
Committee on Conservation and Environment and the Senate
Committee on Conservation and Environment.
If your Senator or Representative is on one of these committees (click
the links above to find out), please write them now and
encourage all your friends and neighbors to write them now also. If the
bill does not pass in committee no other legislators get to vote on it.
Ask particularly that they vote for the bill both in the committee and
on the floor. You are encouraged to report any interaction with the committee
members to LEAF(email us). We
are tracking their postions closely and would like your input.
House and Senate leadership are also a priority. This bill enjoys bipartisan
support. Do not make assumptions about how a legislator will vote based
on party affiliation.
Consider writing thank you notes to the bill's sponsors. Senator Raymond
