What are 10 things that are making me smile this Monday morning?

1) A fat orange cat on my lap. Who needs a hot water bottle (or a corn warmer) when there's the feline metablolism?

2) The pop and crunch of pomegranate pips.

3) Odd snow falling: weird little balls of it, like styrofoam.

4) Talking to middle schoolers about storytelling: moonshining, coal mining, war stories.

5) Walking into W's school and seeing cute little 2nd and 3rd graders contra dancing while their teacher plays the banjo.

6) A comfy scarf around my neck--a gift from my Aunt Tricia when I was in middle school. A real old skool scarf. Muy soft!

7) W waking me up to tell me goodbye and then telling me how wild the new natural peppermint soap is. Tingly feet!

8) Making some headway on a new website.

9) Chocolate covered dried cranberries--from Big Lots, my little unusual food shopping haven.

10) W's unicycle propped up in the corner of the living room (where I can see it right now, but am in no way tempted to go out and try to ride it).
