Fearmongering
Oh, this little Brita filter ad is about as bad as the Bush administration or Rudy Guiliani when it comes to fear tactics:
You know what the real problem is? (And I just realized this the other day): That we actually are flushing our toilets with drinking water. How wasteful is that! How much clean, chlorinated, flouridated--drinkable!--water are we flushing away every day. (Well, I could do without all the chlorine and flouride in my water to begin with.) I know I certainly flush more than I drink, and that's even with the "If it's yellow let it mellow" rule in our house.
Ugggg, all around!
Now for something more positive, eh?
