:: about the studio :: The Horn Studio meets for class twice a week throughout the entire school year. Time is spent rehearsing horn ensemble and small ensemble repertoire for performances on campus and throughout the region. Most recently, the Ohio University Horn Ensemble was invited to perform at the 2002 Midwest Horn Workshop in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The ensemble is open to all horn players, regardless of major. In addition to ensemble rehearsals, the students in the studio have the opportunity to attend numerous master classes, workshops, and recitals by guest artists during the course of the year. In the past, we have hosted master classes and recitals with players such as Gene Stanley, Brent Shires, Andrew Pellatiere, and Steven Gross.
