Resume

I am a senior at Ohio University. I plan to graduate June 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Integrated Mathematics Adolescent Young Adult Education. As I progress through my senior year, I think about my future and my career as an Adolescent Young Adult mathematics teacher.

Ever since I was a young girl, I have enjoyed helping and teaching others to be successful. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, so I have been observing my own teachers since high school; looking for what works and what does not work. It is my passion, and I believe that I could be a positive influence for my future students.

As an undergraduate, I am comfortable in the classroom setting. I have had several opportunities to teach lessons in front of my peers and also in my observing classrooms. I want to make learning fun for my students by using hands-on activities and creating fun methods, such as games, riddles, or stories, to aid students in remembering information.

As you can see from my resume, I have not only volunteered for tutoring students, but I have also volunteered to be a softball coach. By having the skills to be a coach, I can benefit your school even more. My work experiences have also been learning experiences. With all of my jobs, I have learned to communicate and establish a rapport with my co-workers. Being a student manage has caused me to fine tune these skills and also develop skills of organization and time management, which are all necessary qualities for teachers.

Should my experiences meet your needs, please contact me via email or phone.

Sincerely,

Sarah Minnig
