How to create a Bookmarks Folder with Netscape Communicator
  • Launch Netscape Communicator
  • From the menu, choose bookmarks.
  • Choose Edit Bookmarks. This will open the Bookmarks window.
  • File, New Folder. Type your name for the folder name. Write "educational sites" for description.
  • Click once on the folder you created.
  • Go to View menu and select "Set as New Bookmarks Folder". The ribbon in the front indicates that this is the folder where new bookmarks will go.
  • Go back to the browser and bookmark a site. You will see from the Bookmarks option your folder name and the bookmark for it.
  • To see the folder and the bookmark, you can also go to "edit bookmarks" and see if the site you bookmarked is in the folder you have created.
  • After bookmarking 10 educational Web sites, on the File Menu, choose File - Save As and save your bookmarked files onto your zip disk.
  • Delete the unwanted files by pressing the delete key on your keyboard.
Setting your folder as the Bookmark Menu Folder
  • After you have set your bookmark folder go to edit bookmarks menu and under View,  choose "Set as Bookmark Menu folder". From the browser, under the Bookmarks option, you will only see your bookmarks.
