Program Schedule

PROGRAM DATES:  The program  dates will be the same as the regular OU Spring Quarter, but the program lasts only ten weeks and does not have a finals week. 

Schedule: The complete schedule will not be available until Winter Quarter.  In general, students will have 4 days of class per week (as they do on the Athens campus). 
Most classes will be held in the morning, but there will we 2-3 afternoon sessions per week.  Most classes are held at the University of Salzburg, and some of the upper level classes are held at a local high school.
There will be group excursions to sites in and around Salzburg, which will take place one afternoon each week.  For most tours there is a guided tour of interesting cultural and historical sites.
There will also be 2-3 longer group trips (for example: to Munich, Germany and to Vienna, Austria). These group trips include guided tours of significant sites, course assignments, as well as ample free time for students to explore the destination on their own.
On the weekends when no group trips are planned, students will be free to travel. Many students travel together in groups.  Popular destinations include Prague, Budapest, Venice, Florence, and Amsterdam.  For a longer trip on a long weekend, many students head to  Paris, Rome, London, or Berlin.
