Andrew is currently working on a book about the ways emotions shape collective agency in world politics. Titled Beyond Hatred: Violence, Justice, and Emotion in An Age of Terror, the book looks at emotions as powerful and sometimes creative forces in the politics of terrorism, ethnic conflict, and transitional justice. It makes an original contribution to key problems in IR theory--the changing location of collective agency, the fiery politics of identity, and the sources of justice and normative change.
