9.22.04 - Midpoint and More
Due to a last-minute cancellation, Schooley Station has been asked to perform at the 2004 Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio. The set will be on Friday, September 24 from 11:00pm to 11:40pm at Moose on Main. For more info on the Festival or attending, please check here.
Also, Schooley Station will be performing at Chillicothe's own Sherman Haus Bier Garten on Saturday, September 25. This will be the last summer show, and it is also the last scheduled show for a while. Let's just see how many we can cram into that Bier Garten, shall we?
9.15.04 - Another MP3 to have
Check out the Music page. A live recording from the Battle of the Bands has been added. Feel free to download, burn, and distribute!
8.29.04 - Busy Month!
August has been a busy month for Schooley Station. In addition to beginning a full-length record, they were victorious in the Lancaster Battle of the Bands. Thanks goes out to all who supported the band.
Another sincere thanks goes out to all of you fans who made it to the last-minute show at the Filling Station on August 28.
There are some upcoming shows you should know about, so be sure to check out the shows page.
8.5.04 - New photo page
After much promise and a long delay, the revamped photo page is up and operational. Check it out!
8.2.04 - Battle of the Bands Specifics
We have been asked to compete in the Lancaster Battle of the Bands on Saturday, August 14. The competition will be held on the Ohio University-Lancaster campus. Part of the scoring criteria is based on crowd reaction, so we would love to cram a whole bunch of Schooley-ites into that auditorium. The show begins at 7:00pm, with Schooley Station taking stage around 8:30.
7.7.04 - Last Minute Show Additions
We're pleased to announce that we will be sharing the stage with Ghost Farm on Friday, July 9 beginning at 9:30pm at the Sherman Haus in Chillicothe, Ohio. They have asked us to open for them for this show, and they will return the favor next weekend. Hope to see a bunch of you there!
6.27.04 - Great Shows and new Photo Pages
We had two great shows this weekend, opening for the Second City comedy troupe from Chicago. Thanks to some talented friends, we've got some great photos of the shows, which will be posted on a new and improved photo page in the near future.
Secondly, thanks goes out to Steve Campbell of fun faces for the caricature of the band. Surf on over and check out his site if you wish.
6.20.04 - Name our mascot
You have all seen him: the mysterious man with the fedora who dons most of our posters and is all over our website. We really need to give him a name, with your help. Please email your ideas to fedora@schooleystation.com. The best suggestion will get a prize from the band.
6.16.04 - Help us describe our sound!
When someone asks us to tell them what we sound like, we as band members are typically short on good descriptive words. Besides, "sort of a jazzy, folky, funky, pop-rock with Britpop and country influences" isn't very concise. So, if you, as fans, can help us in more easily labeling our sound, please send your suggestions to schooley@schooleystation.com.
6.15.04 - Official Web Launch
After many months of promise, the site is finally up and (somewhat) functional. Bookmark the spot and pass it on to your friends.
