I am interested in obtaining a position as an early childhood teacher. I am interested in teaching grades K-3. I will graduate from Ohio University in June 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I feel that my choice for a major was the perfect one for me. Working directly with children is such a pleasure.
I am confident that my professional hands on experience and qualifications will contribute to the education your school provides. I have an enormous love for children and place a high standard on learning. I believe that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. It is an educator’s mission to make school exciting and enjoyable, which in turn makes students want to learn.
I have had several significant experiences working with children. Throughout my years at college I have been involved in numerous field experiences. These experiences have greatly enhanced my learning in the classroom. I was able to experience classroom topics through real life experiences with children. I was able to apply the techniques learned in class to my field experience. I have also worked as a volunteer at a local Head Start. This summer I was able to work at a daycare center as a teacher’s aide. I have had the opportunity to function in a variety of educational settings making it easy to adapt to new situations.
