- Study Session: I will be in Morton 127 on Thursday evening, November 20, the night before the exam, in case anyone wants to drop by. We have the room reserved from 7:00 to 9:00 pm; if I can find a parking space, I will be there by 7:00, and I will stay as long as there are people with questions.
Because I will have already written and duplicated the exam, I will not be making an organized presentation, but I will be answering any questions that you raise.
As usual, I suggest that you spend part of your studying time looking at the text, part at the on-line resources (including the study guide, linked below), part at the CAPA problems, and part at your class notes. Focussing all of your attention on one type of material, or on one topic, is not likely to prove effective!

- Because of the confusion resulting from my having put two CAPA assignments on-line at once, I have delayed the due-date for Assignment 5 until 11 PM Thursday evening this week, 10/23. The due-date for Assignment 6 remains as 11 PM on Tuesday evening next week, 10/28. I anticipate keeping the rest of the CAPA due dates as announced in the syllabus.
An additional time-slot for Physics 203-specific help in Clippinger 332 will be in effect through the end of the quarter: 7-9 PM on Mondays.

- A few points of immediate interest:
- A Web page is available for providing anonymous feedback to the instructor on any aspect of the course. If you want a direct response, or simply prefer to identify yourself, just send an E-mail to piccard@ohio.edu.
- The on-line Radiation Notes include topics that go beyond the scope of this course. In particular they include algrebra that you are not responsible for. Many of the qualitative results, especially those presented graphically, are within the scope of the course. The detailed discussions on the photoelectric effect and source strength determination are outside the scope of the course. If you have any doubts about the nature of any particular section of the Notes, please ask me.
