Your assignment is to write a review of either Fighting for American Manhood, A Date Which Will Live, or A New Deal for the World. Your review should be a critical assessment, not merely a synopsis, of the book you selected. In evaluating the book, please make sure that you summarize and assess the author’s principal argument(s); their strengths and weaknesses; and the extent to which you found them persuasive. You should also comment on the author’s research and principal sources. Please give particular attention to the author’s methodology, approach to studying history, and interpretive framework. You should evaluate the scholarly contribution of the book--to international history, U.S. history, or any other field. Of course, you should address any other issue or subject that you think important.
