The Local Arm

As the 1997-98 academic school year ended at Ohio University, so did three illustrious bands. Middle Kittanning, perhaps the oldest of the bunch, fell victim to graduation and creative differences. Lopan, perhaps the best known of the bunch, also fell victim to graduation and instrumental differences. Elixir, perhaps the most eclectic of the bunch, split in half with a move to the west coast. Possessed with temporary insanity, Jason (he of the guitar and voice from Lopan) and Mike (he of the bass and occasional voice of Lopan) made Kyle (he of the guitar and voice of Middle Kittanning) an offer he couldn't refuse. Through a series of misadventures and revelations of the obvious, the three became enamored with Bob (he of the drums of Elixir). What has followed since then has been both frightening and wonderful to behold.
