kwmeyer.com is an online portfolio of graphic and web design work of Kevin Meyer. He has recently moved to Chicago, Illinois after graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
Currently, Kevin is employed at Innovative Direct Solutions in Elk Grove, Il. IDS is a full service direct mail house. He is the web design intern in charge of revamping the outdated company site. While at Ohio University, he was employed at the Center for Academic Technology as a video editor/graphic designer/talent for the company which specializes in making short video based tutorials for students and teachers. His team's video for Backward Compatilibity made it onto Ohio University's Blackboard homepage. (Blackboard is a tool used by teachers to post assignments, grades, etc that the students can access)
He is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and enjoys creating music. He produced two full-length albums under the moniker Zephuros and plays about town. Has opened for such acts as: Andrew Bird, Denison Witmer, Marla Hansen, The Everybodyfields, The Sadies and others.
Kevin is a mostly self-taught person. At the age of 14 he self-taught himself HTML which led to the introduction of Photoshop. In high school he learned more about Photoshop to help his skills with HTML. As he developed a unique style of simpilicty and elegance he began to self-teach himself CSS. When at college his classes gave him more knowledge in Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Illustrator, Flash and other programs.
