Review Sheets for Exams
Spanish 211

The exams in Spanish 211, 212, and 213 test speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, culture, and vocabulary, which constitute the categories of goals for the course.

Daily homework from the textbook and the Activities Manual will prepare you to succeed on each exam, if you complete assignments responsibly.  Use each Activities Manual assignment as a practice test: first study the assigned pages from the textbook, then complete the Manual activities.  If your Manual answers are accurate, you have absorbed the material from the text and your exam answers will also be accurate.

There will be a speaking exam for each chapter in the textbook.  The instructions for each "oral exam" are accessible from the syllabus on the course website.

The final exam is cumulative, and will test all vocabulary, culture, and grammar covered during the quarter.

Review Sheet for Capítulo 1:

The first exam in Spanish 211 will test the following:

1)  LISTENING COMPREHENSION.  You will hear a passage related to a theme from Chapter 1 and answer several questions.  Practice "A escuchar" exercises from the Activities Manual.

2)  DEFINITIONS.  You will use vocabulary from the chapter to define several terms.  Study sample definitions in 1-19 from the text and "Vocabulario para conversar" pp. 12-13.

3)  VOCABULARY.  You should create flashcards to help you study and review the "Ampliar vocabulario" from the list on pp. 43-44 of the text.

Exam sections will mirror vocabulary exercises you have completed for homework.  You may be tested on one or more of the following types of exercises:
