Laptopbroker is a great source for Dell laptops, IBM ThinkPad’s, Apple Laptops and Ipods and Vizio HD LCD’s.
I shopped LaptopBroker when I was going back to school in August, and I was shopping for something pretty rugged… like an IBM ThinkPad T40 or IBM41, or maybe one of the new Lenovo X60 tablets. When I got down to business, I picked up the Lenovo T60p!!! The price was great, and when I called their toll free number (888-333-0633) somebody actually picked up the phone… unbelievable!
It has been a few months now and the T60p is just a cheap laptop. I am constantly arguing with my roommate who says his Dell Latitude D630 Core 2 Duo is the better machine, but with him, Dell is like a religion… he’s ridiculous! My Core 2 Duo is at 2 GHz and his is at 1.83GHz, so you do the math. Mine has the 256MB ATI FireGL V5200 Video Card (or is it the 256MB ATI FireGL V5250 Video Card? I don’t know—but it smokes). Also, mine has the fingerprint reader for security (plus the IBM hard drive encryption), and I don’t think the Dell has that. His looks sexier, but again, it’s religion… he’s digging Michael Dell and I am more of an Angelina Jolie type… good looks but toughness is the trump card. Also, I found that my display at 1400x1050 display resolution has the edge on his at 1440x900 resolution.
By the way, if you are in the market for a Vizio TV, I recently went back to LaptopBroker.com to see what they had… lots of good stuff. I just bought the VX20L 20 inch widescreen LCD HDTV which is at 1366x768 resolution. It was only $290, and the freight was not going to kick my ass either. It’s a good size for my dorm room, and still kicks the HD great. Also, I can plug in my Lenovo T60p into it for homework and other terrible but necessary tasks.
I highly recommend LaptopBroker.com, too bad my friend DIDN’T buy his Dell Latitude D630 Core 2 Duo from Laptop Broker... I also got a cool USB pen from them for free!
