The following photos are a work in progress. I am participating in a community art project called 'Fence Art' for the City of Strongsville, Ohio. Artists were given scrap materials from local businesses to build sculptures that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, in order to raise money for and art scholarship fund. I have no idea if anyone will bid on my sculpture. It's a pretty conservative town. But this is what I have come up with so far.

The material is chain link fence coated with black rubber. The globe is 4' high and 6.5' wide that's subject to change. I had to unweave each strand from the fence. So far I have invested 15hrs in this piece It's does not quite look like 15 hrs of work, so it goes..... As far as concept goes, they usually come to me as I work. For now Im going to call the fence art sculpture 'egg'. It's full of potential, but that potential has not been birthed yet. It sort of looks like an egg. It might be a gigantic shadow globe with proper lighting. It might be an egg like trellis just waiting to be covered with morning glories or honeysuckle vines.......
