Purpose

I have three purposes in mind for this assignment:

These reports will allow for class discussion of material in addition to what we all read as a class.
These reports allow you to work in depth with material beyond the class readings. You may (but are not required to) use this material for your final paper.
They will also give each of you a chance to work on your presentation skills.

Format

This is completely up to you. Possibilities:

You may do the standard reading of a short paper you have written on the material.
You may present a more informal talk with written notes as reference.
You may use audio-visual aids, such as powerpoint, photographs, posters, or video.

Whatever the format, your presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
