My passion for teaching and learning through the integration of technology in the K-12 and Higher Education curriculum spans twenty-four years. As a science teacher in 1979, I began to use technology in the middle school Life Science curriculum to gather data and solve problems. I have also taught seventh grade computer math, desktop publishing, multimedia development, Computer Science I - PASCAL, Advanced Placement Computer Science II. As a technology coordinator for 9 years, I to developed and implemented curriculum in K-12, evaluate and purchase hardware and software for K-12, budgeting and grant writing experience.

As an Instructional Technology faculty and technologist in the College of Education, I am responsible for graduate and undergraduate technology courses. These courses include the use of application software, development of technology-enriched lessons, instructional design, web design, internet use, and multimedia development. These courses also support the development of an ISTE standards-based of portfolio by undergraduate and graduate students.

Research interests include the integration of technology through curriculum development, handheld technologies in the higher education classroom, teacher/faculty development in the use of technology for teaching and learning, distance education and online course development as well as issues surrounding access to technology.

With a history of grant writing success, I have provided significant support for the use of technology in higher education and the K-12 classroom. Grants include, US Department of Education PT3 Initiative, National Science Foundation - Haptics Augmented Physics Tutorial, Toyota USA Foundation, the Learning Community Link and Institute for Schools of the Future.
