-Travel to Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve research station
-Pick up Juanita and Chechita
-Dinner and down time in the research station
-Night hike on the road

Saturday, July 5
-Morning hike in the jungle in search of birds and unique features of the jungle
-Breakfast at research station
-Visit Viego Chico, a deserted town hit by a hurricane
-Lunch at Viego Chico
-Carlos spoke to us about the Sian Ka'an Reserve
-Dinner at research station

Sunday, July 6
-Breakfast at research station
-Drive to Tulum
-Tour of Tulum archeological site with guide
-Lunch at restraunt near Tulum
-Drive to camp site on a beach of Tulum
-Celebrated Michael's birthday
-Dinner on the beach
-Kenneth Johnson spoke about sea turtles
-Night hike in search of marine turtles laying eggs
-Spent the night in tents

Monday, July 7
-Breakfast at camp
-Drive to and snorkel in Grand Cenote
-Drive to Coba archeological site
-Tour of Coba with guide and climbed the tallest Maya pyramid in Mexico
-Lunch in Coba
-Drive to Chiquila and catch boat to Holbox island
-Check in and dinner at Faro Viejo hotel
-Basketball with townspeople

Tuesday, July 8
-Breakfast at hotel
-Kayak expedition to watch flamingos up close
-Lunch at hotel
-Free time in the afternoon
-Dinner at the hotel
-Celebrated a La Quinceanera with the townspeople

Wednesday, July 9
-5:00am departure in search of whale sharks
-Breakfast in boat
-Snorkeling in coral reefs during boat ride back to shore
-Lunch at hotel in Holbox
-Free time to rest
-Dinner at hotel
-Kenneth Johnson spoke about coral reefs
-Volleyball with townspeople

Thursday, July 10
-Breakfast in Holbox
-Departure to Puerto Morelos
-Lunch in a town; sovenior shopping
-Arrival at hotel in Puerto Morelos
-Warning for Hurricane or Tropical Storm Claudette
-Dinner at hotel
-Group discussion reflecting on the YEPE expedition and our trip

Friday, July 11
-Breakfast at hotel
-People went to Cancun or stayed in Puerto Morelos
-Said our farewells to Eduardo Patino and Eduardo Rios (our guides throughout the trip)
-Dinner at hotel

Saturday, July 12
-Depart for US to come back home
