Ezekiel Rose
for whom Roseville is named,
was born in 1745 in Hampshire Co., Virginia and died in 1818 in Muskingum
Co., Ohio. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, a surveyor and a
farmer. A statue, pictured to the right, and a gravestone have been placed
in his honor in the Roseville Cemetary.
