A  Tour  of  the  B&O  Tracks  around  Athens Ohio
. this page revised 11/01/99
When  it became obvious that  CSX  would soon be removing the tracks through Athens,
I grabbed my camera and shot these images while the abandon tracks remained.   This
tour of the line begins on the West side of  town at  Grosvenor Crossing ;  site of  where
old  Kanahua & Michigan ( NYC )  /  Baltimore & Ohio  railroads  crossed.
.
I have also included other photos of the past, and some as things are in 1999,
to serve as a comparison.
