Currently I am a senior at Ohio University and will graduate in the 
spring of 2000 with a degree in Comprehensive Communications 
Education.  I will then be certified to teach English, Journalism, and 
Communications in grades 7-12.

For years, I have watched my parents and grandparents act as 
prominent advocators for education. I believe this contributes 
significantly towards my passion for children and for education. It is 
my hope that I may one day give back all that I have received in 
support, encouragement, and in opportunity to a child who simply 
needs somoneto have faith in him or her.

For the time being, I continue my extracurriculars at school on the 
University Forensics Team (Competitive Speech and Debate), my job 
as the Ohio University Student Senate Secretary, and my life long
hobby of creative writing.
