French Culture and Civilization: The Early Modern Era
Course Description:
FR348 will explore the social,
political and cultural history of France in the early modren era, from
the Renaissance through the Revolution. The course will be conducted
entirely in French and will include a combination of lectures, discussion
groups, and student presentations. A course pack containing readings
will be distributed electronically to all students enrolled in the class.
Grading will be based on class participation, two oral presentations, three
exams and a short paper.
