Why RV?

The first few pictures here are of my wife and me picking up our first travel trailer RV from Wolfe's Camper Sales which was a big step up from our tent camping days.

Update... We recently purchased our fourth RV  (yes, our fourth) and the third one from Wolfe's Camper Sales near Parkersburg, WV.   As you can see, this time we bought a fifth-wheel that has a king size bed, two slides that open the main living area, and a slide in the bedroom.   We also have a much larger kitchen too! This decision came about when we moved our location in the campground. Our new camping spot is in an open area with a great view.   If you'd like to see where we go camping, here's a link to Carthage Gap Campground.

I've been riding motorcycles since 1958 when I bought my first Harley Hummer from A.D. Farrow Co. which I rode during my high school years.  Here's my current motorcycle with my granddaughter Lindsey, before her short ride.  I'm also including a view of one of the many riding roads here in Southeastern Ohio.

Caution: When riding a motorcycle in SE Ohio, use extreme care when approaching a curve. In SE Ohio, most posted speed limits for curves are not accurate. You may find yourself thinking the posted speeds are too low for curves, but then suddenly, you’ll find one too high for a curve. So remember, when riding in Ohio, use caution when approching curves.

Old Man's Cave (State Park)
For those who don't know much about SE Ohio, I thought I'd add a gallery of images from Old Mans cave, which is very cool even during the hot summer heat. Follow this link for more information about the Hocking Hills region.

Holland America Cruise Our HAL cruise in pictures. The text was written for people who are interested in either HAL, or would like to read about and see what the ms Zaandam passenger ship looks like inside.

New York City These images are from the Big Apple taken while on my weekend Fun Bus Trip.  Includes my Brooklyn Bridge adventure, and views from the top of the Empire State Building, Times Square and Central Park.  Additional pictures have been added to this New York City page from my second NYC "Fun Bus" Trip in August 2004.

Flagler Beach Florida  My vacation pictures from Flagler Beach, FL.  I consider Flagler Beach my home away from home.  When heading South on I-95, be sure to stop and visit.  It's only a mile or so from the highway.  Included are Flagler pier images of before and after Hurricane Frances.

Our 2005 Florida RV Trip  This page describes our travel to and from Florida during January of 2005.  This was our first multi-state RV trip with our experiences and travel adventures from campgrounds to some of our sight seeing images.

Our 2006 Key West Florida Trip  This page describes our travel in and around Florida during our January 2006 visit.  On our way home to Athens, OH, we also stopped in Morehead City, NC trying to relive the port calls during my Navy years.  I've also included images from Flagler Beach, Key West, Moorhead City and the town I always wanted to visit "Beaufort, NC." where many of the homes were built in the 17 and 1800's.

Here's some other misc images I'd like to share...

I will be posting more misc pictures to the above list from time to time.

Oh BTW, here's one of my new comfort Specialized Expedition Sport XL (21.5") bicycle.  For years I’ve been looking for a tall bike that was easy to ride, and allowed me to sit upright while riding.  Although, as I step back and view this picture, I realize it doesn't capture the essence of how I feel when riding it.  You can't see the super-soft comfort plush spring seat (even the seatpost is on a suspension as does the handle bar unit), therapeutic soft ergonomic hand grips, the Shimano Acera 24-speed wide range drive train with SRAM MRX shifting, A1 Premium Aluminum comfort frame and the Hemisphere 26 x 1.9 tires with Flak Jacket puncture protection .  All I can say is if you don't have a Specialized ExpeditionSport Comfort Bike, go out and give one a test ride..   I really enjoy riding the bike path around Athens, and I'm so glad I finally found a bike that's easy to ride, and makes me feel great when I ride it. Cost Aprox. $350.00
