The 2008 Annual Alumni Picnic and Car Show was held on September 21,
2008 at the South Side "Y" Park. The weather was fantastic, the food was delicious and most
everyone had a good time.
A note about the food. In my opinion, the fried chicken served at the picnic was better than KFC,
much better. It seemed to just fall off the bones and melt in your mouth. I was so impressed
with the food, I went into the kitchen and took a picture of Judy Davis who
seemed to be working harder than anyone. So for me, the food was a delight, although someone
needs to work on the dessert offerings. Maybe next year everyone coming could bring a dessert? I'm
bringing a pie for the dessert table, how about you?
Each year at the car show and picnic, Mike Wiles brings the
alumnimemorabilia

The official South High bulldog was
there again this year. In fact, there were two, but one just would not pose for the camera.
Below are some random pictures taken during my walk around the picnic to give everyone an
idea of what went on at the picnic, and hopefully encourage more people to attend in 2009.
