*This information is quite a bit dated, and I have been meaning to post it for a while. Although not related to the 350Z, this is significant news about Nissan sports cars. After this model year, both the Skyline GT-R and the Silvia will be discontinued in Japan. In the United States, the Silvia was known as the 240SX (discontinued here in 1998, I believe), in Japan, however, it has a different engine and runs 0-60 in mid 5s. Many of you will have heard of the Skyline GT-R. The GT-R is one of the finest sports cars in the world, featuring a twin-turbocharged inline 6 and all-wheel drive, among other things. Nissan is producing a special addition called the NÜr for the final model year. The GT-R will return in a few years, however. There is a GT-R concept that was displayed at numerous auto shows recently, including the Detroit show (NAIAS). A left-hand drive version will be available, and the next GT-R might even make it to the United States.
