The HOSTS program is what has inspired me to make sure
I
get the reading endorsement on my Early Childhood degree. I truly
believe
that if kids know how to read, they will be able to excell in
school.
If they don't know how to read, they sure can't do story problems for
their
Math class!! My future goal is to have a job helping kids learn
how
to read. I loved watching my daughter learn how to read.
And
even the kids that I mentor during the school year. It is so much
fun
to watch them say "I can't do it" and then the light bulb comes on and
they
read it!!

Ohio Reads
Church:
I am a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
I
help with some of the children's ministries there. I help with
the
Toddler Room, Children's Church, and Awana.
Family:
I also like getting to spend time with my family.
My
daughter is getting to the age where she loves to play board games.
The
newest one she has added to her list is Scrabble. I am so glad
that
I have gotten to stay home with her since she was a baby. It has
been
great! Even when I am finished with school and working she will
still
