About the Designer:John Galliano is a wonderful new and innovated designer. His first career breakthrough was in 1994 with his romantic fall collection. His first breakthrough hailed to foreshadow his rise in LVMH. Soon after this in 1995 he was named couturier of Givenchy and then he moved to Christian Dior in 1996. All of these are great accomplishments for a fashion designer.John Galliano's Expansion: Within the next year John Galliano is planning to expand, and open his first ever freestanding boutique. According to WWD (news magazine on style.com) his boutique will be in Paris, the exact location was not given. The only information givem by WWD from Galliano's president, Valerie Hermann, was that the location is on a "very well placed" site. Besides this great new boutique, Galliano is launching an internet boutique on eLuxury.com. On this internet site Galliano will be working on his first signature perfume with Perfume Christian Dior. Galliano has put a lot of time and interest into this new internet site. He did not just want to be on it, he wanted to be involved in the creation of it. Unfortunately as of right now, the site is not completed, however, according to Hermann the site should be up by March. Galliano has already accomplished so much, with the opening for the boutique and the internet site, but there will be more coming from this designer. Along with the opening of the boutique Galliano is going to launch a new product line. Some of the new key products are handbags and small leather goods. If all this was not enough for this talented designer, he has developed an eyewear collection with the help of Frances Airess.
