Autobiography
My life started on November
29, 1982 when I was born in Dayton, Ohio. Almost immediately after
that, my family moved to upstate New York. Since I was so young,
I remember nothing about it. When I was about two, we moved back
to Ohio, but this time to Cincinnati. There, I started taking
ballet lessons at the age of three. I guess you could say I had
a normal childhood, full of playing with my Barbie dolls and getting
McDonald's happy meals every weekend. I was also the "bratty
little sister" to my older sister Liz, who is eight years
older than I am.
When I was six we moved back to Dayton, to the suburb of Centerville.
I started taking ballet, tap, and jazz classes there and continued
until I was fourteen. It was there where I met my best friends
who I am still closest to today, Kathryn and Kelly. When I was
nine, I came to Ohio University for the first time to see my sister
during Sibs' Weekend. Even though I was somewhat young at the
time, I knew that I would eventually want to go there someday
also. At the end of eighth grade, all of my friends and I were
excited to move on to high school. However one night this changed
for me. Over dinner, which was pigs- in- a- blanket, my parents
informed me that we would be moving to Columbus over the summer.
I moved to Hilliard right before my freshman year at Hilliard
Darby High School. It was a huge transition, I was moving to a
new city with all new people, let alone going from middle school
to high school. I ended up meeting so many wonderful people and
getting involved in various activities, clubs, and organizations,
such as the school newspaper, ski club, and student council just
to name a few. After graduation this past June, I moved on to
Athens, where I was so many years ago with my sister, attending
Ohio University.
