Hey! My name is Amy Hudson and I am originally from Franklin, Ohio. It's a small town halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton. I attend Ohio University where I am a senior there and will graduate in June of 2003.I am majoring in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Mathematics and Language Arts. I am currently working with Bill Elasky at Federal Hocking Middle School in a seventh grade mathematics class. All the extra student teaching and classroom experience I have is thanks to the C.A.R.E. program. It has given me a great opportunity to gave valuable experience in teaching that will only make me more marketable to the democratic school of my choice.
The
purpose of this web site is to learn a little about me, I suppose. I have
several links on here that are interesting to visit. I also wanted to put
my resume, job experience, references, and even a webquest I designed for
my students on the web site so that people visiting could get a feel for
what I enjoy doing.
You can always reach me by e-mail at one of two addresses:

You can also try me online with AOL instant messenger, although I am rarely signed on.

I have a few other loves besides the boy. I love motorcycles. This is a picture of my baby's bike. It's a 2002 Honda CBR 929. Here is a picture of my dad's new one followed by a picture of my dad. He is the greatest!

Over the
summer of 2002, I worked for the Dayton West YMCA Summer Day Camp. We had
so much fun at the Possum Creek Reserve Site. We played numerous
games, made crafts, and even had a few water balloon fights. The summer
was an interesting one. I learned more about myself that summer than I
had in the past four years at college. I made some new friends. I miss
Erica the most! The kids were great, too, with a few minor problems here
and there. Little Carlton was hilarious! Check out some of these pictures
of the greatest summer I have ever had!
This is a
picture of two of our counselors, Roc and Coach V, in one of our numerous
water fights! Coach V hated getting wet!
Look at this
lovely picture of Jim, our camp director, all wet! We had been playing
in Englewood at Centennial Park, and Jim went swimming with all his clothes
on! All the counselors loved the water!
Almost of all this summer's counselors at the YMCA Day Camp Olympics. From left to right: me, Kobi, Roc, Coach V, Erica, and our bus driver is kneeling. We all wore bandanas along with the kids to show the the West YMCA was the best Day Camp! THe Olympics was a fun filled, but hot afternoon. The kids has a great time competing against other YMCAs in the Greater Dayton area.
This was by far the best friend I made over the summer. I miss our talks about the boys and all the new ideas we learned this summer. We grew so much as people. This is a picture of me and Erica, sitting with one of our favorite campers, Charnelle. Charnelle was a twin, whose brother's name was Charles. The three of us are taking some time out to relax while at Centennial Park in Englewood.

I would like
to say a special thank you to my professor, Tim Vickers. I had never imagined
I would ever create a web page myself. After taking his class, I
am interested in the technology aspect of education so much more.
I enjoy updating my web page and will continue to do so even after graduation.
He has taught me so much and have a genuine passion for educating his students.
He is a democratic educator and would be a fantastic addition to the C.A.R.E.
faculty. In the future, I can only hope that I educate my students as well
as him.
