Lesson Objective: The student will use "smart sufing" skills to search the internet to answer student generated questions.
Introductory Activities: Based upon the group work students are currently working on; students will generate questions. These questions are intended to further the student's knowledge about a topic they are currently working on. All questions must be teacher approved.

The Lesson:
Students will divide into pairs. Each pair will be given one class period (40 minutes). Students are to use this time to find as much information about their topic as possible. Students may use any search engine. Students will then explain their best techniques for searching and the information they found helpful.
Closing Activity:
Each pair will share their findings with their group before turning in their results.
Students will also look at movie, play and other production websites. Students will use their ideas to create a poster for their favorite story of the year. This exploration is meant to take no more than 10 minutes. Students will be given time to complete posters at a later date.
