Hello Everyone

This is an initial version of the web site for region 5. There is a plan to move away from having D5 in the printed format except for a semi or annual best of edition.

Plans are to use this site to keep everyone updated on important activities going on in the region and nationally.

Also it will be a way to keep everyone up to date quicker on contest results.

Please explore the links for a brief description of what those services will be.

News from Associate Director Ron Stover

I'd like to welcome everyone to Region 5's new website, and say thank
you to Region 5 Director, Lloyd Young, for his hard work in getting the
website up and running. We hope it will be something the membership of
our region will use and help to improve.

I'd also like to encourage everyone to come to the NPPA's national
convention this summer, June 19-21. For the second year in a row it's
being held here in our region, so it's a great advantage for us to enjoy
the educational seminars that are being presented.

This year it is being held at the Wyndam Hotel Northwest in Itasca, Il.

This year's convention rates are:
Full Package - Members: $240
Life Members and/or Guests: $190
Non-Members: $290
This includes Education Days, Sprague Banquet, and 1 additional banquet (BOP or TV)

Education Days only - (no banquets), Extra Tickets
One day rate: $60
BOP or TV Dinners: $60 each
Students can pay one day rate.
Sprague Dinner: $70 each
