Objective:
To obtain an entry level position as a graphic designer, and to further hone my abilities in art, design, and critical problem solving. Education: BFA in Graphic Design, Ohio University.  Athens, OH Minor in Japanese Language, Ohio University.  Athens, OH Chubu University.  Aichi, Japan. Design Experience: Intern at the Tougyoku Doll Company in Saitama, Japan   Jun-Aug, 2003 Received training in the various processes involved in the creation of traditional Japanese dolls, and designed a doll color scheme for sale in Tougyoku shops. Translated the company website, and other pamphlets and documents from Japanese to English. Taught English conversation courses for Tougyoku employees. Received training in Japanese calligraphy and sign making. Did minimal design consultation for Tougyoku menus, posters, dolls, and commercials. Freelance storyboarder for Onslot Productions 2001. Worked with producers to design commercial storyboards for sale to clients. Did minimal consultation for content of storyboards and tv commercials. Designed and presented a corporate identity as a research project  Jun, 2003. Worked on the Website and Poster Design Committees of the Ohio University senior graphic design class Sept, 2003-Jun, 2004.

Independent Projects:

Wrote, formatted and rendered a comic to be printed in the biannual anthology Fractured Kisses Oct, 2003. Created and published a comic book in the online comic magazine Sushikko Jan, 2002. Created and maintained a personal illustration/art website Sept, 2001 Wrote, formatted, and rendered a comic book to be printed and distributed at the Otakon comic convention  Aug, 2000
