Updates to the scientific contents of this site cannot be guaranteed after 1 July 2000 because of my professional retirement. I will, however, continue to modify the design of the site and update external links when needed.

Note that I have added "Personal Comments" for several of the pages to give visitors to the site an idea of how specimens were collected from different interesting locations and the people who helped obtain many of the specimens. I also am updating some of the images. When we first went online on 12 December 1995, methods for scanning images and putting them on websites were crude compared to standards used today. Eventually many of the inferior images will be replaced with images that have been edited with GIMP.

I hope you are using Firefox while you visit this website. Firefox is free. JavaScripts were provided free by The JavaScript Source and The JavaScript Kit.

If you come up with something exciting or interesting about the plasmodiophorids, please let me know. Comments or suggestions are always welcome. Good luck with your research on the plasmos.
